Who the heck is Adaptor?
Adaptor is a two-brother motion design studio raising awareness about the socio-ecological crisis. We collaborate with organizations solving social and environmental challenges. Together, we create engaging animated stories that advocate for a more equitable and compassionate future.

We created a brand video to raise awareness of who we are and what we do. This was an opportunity to showcase both our mission and our skills. The video tells the story of the ecological crisis, along with solutions for navigating it. It offers a message of hope, advocating for collective action to create a sustainable and compassionate future.The video introduces our studio and its mission to amplify the stories of individuals and groups working towards ecological solutions. Creating our brand film has helped us define our mission and will grow awareness of Adaptor, helping us find more people to collaborate with.

The Outcome
A video campaign, including a 60-second hero film and three 10-second teasers, that tells the story and mission of Adaptor. In other words: we never have to answer the question 'What do you do?' again. Well, theoretically. It has helped us grow awareness of Adaptor and given us, at least, a bit more credibility.
Spaceship Earth
Spaceship Earth is not just a ride at Disneyland. Buckminster Fuller popularized the term in the 1960s, but in this case, Captain Paul Watson was talking about it on David Ramm’s podcast. He described animals as the crew of the spaceship and humans as the passengers—and we’re killing the crew. It's an apt metaphor for the ongoing ecological crisis.This sparked the idea to bring the concept to life. We envisioned a solarpunk, sci-fi voyage through space filled with quirky characters and cosmic shenanigans.Ultimately, the animation serves as a call to action, encouraging viewers to join the 'crew' and take action against the forces driving the eco-crisis.

A quirky, offbeat mixed-media advocacy animation that gets people thinking about the ecological crisis in a different way, without being too preachy. And who knows, maybe it might even inspire them to take action.
Stop Ecocide
The planet is facing a crisis. Ecocide—the systematic destruction of ecosystems—is being committed at an alarming rate, and there's no accountability. Large corporations are driving the destruction of our natural world, yet the legal systems that should be protecting our environment remain woefully inadequate.Ecocide, once a fringe term, is slowly gaining traction. More people are realizing that to stop the madness, we need to make ecocide a crime under international law. The problem is: most people still don't know what ecocide is. That's where we decided to step in.We took it upon ourselves to create a PSA that would convey the urgency and gravity of the situation.
